SwimForIt! is a non-competitive swimming club based at Halesowen Leisure Centre, enabling children to develop a life skill.
The club offer teaching sessions on a Sunday afternoon for approximately 55 minutes in the main pool or 45 minutes in the teaching pool used by beginners. Sessions are held during term-time only with sessions resuming the Sunday before start of term.
Whilst being taught to improve their water skills children are encouraged to achieve ASA award badges and have the option to be tested for their next level award when ready.
Very few schools offer swimming lessons every year let alone every week and yet it is a safe and easy way to exercise, have fun, develop various water skills and achieve awards.
